Fur Free Friday Hits the Streets of Beverly Hills

Fur Free Friday Hits the Streets of Beverly Hills

In Defense of Animals, Last Chance for Animals, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, and over two hundred activists marched down Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California on Fur Free Friday, also known as Black Friday, to oppose the cruel and unnecessary fur industry. The procession stopped in front of stores that carried fur, sending a clear message to stop trapping and raising animals on farms for their fur. We also stopped by Gucci to thank them for ditching fur in its fashions!

Beagle Freedom Project’s Matt Rossell described his undercover work on a fur farm to underscore the horror of these practices that persist to this day, such as anal-electrocution. Activists honored our own Bill Dyer, who was instrumental in the West Hollywood fur ban and as an organizer for Fur Free Friday events for decades before his death last July. Activists proudly carried a sign with Bill’s image so he could be with us in spirit!

Matt shared the full story of his undercover work with during this webinar.
