All hands on deck to send an email to LAUSD administrators and Board Members! For two years, students led by Earth Peace founder Lila Copeland have worked hard to reach a point where LAUSD will even test the idea of offering a vegan lunch pilot program. However, the current Food Services Director has made it clear that he intends to neglect essential elements that would help it succeed. We need your voice to ensure that a vegan meal pilot program that was voted in by resolution on May 9 is a success, and is handled in a fair and ethical manner. Vegetarian, vegan, and health-conscious students and exploited farmed animals are depending on healthy, cruelty-free options.
