Join Us to Remember Animal Victims of the California Wildfires

In Defense of Animals and Otra Mas Horse Rescue invite you to attend a Memorial Ceremony for the animal victims who perished in the deadly Canyon 2 fire. Firefighters, dignitaries, and animal rescue organizations will share heartfelt stories about domestic and wild animal victims of the fire. Animal companions are very welcome to attend.

This event is intended to provide a forum for our community to process our feelings and heal our grief from the incredible losses we have suffered. Together, we can rise up from the ashes of despair, bless those who have passed, and heal the ravaged land we and the animals depend on.

We encourage you to bring photos and mementos of those who died for a communal blessing officiated by local clergy. During the ceremony there will be a special time available for members of the community to share personal stories of your dear ones and your healing.
