Thanks to everyone who attended VegFest Colorado and stopped by the In Defense of Animals table to meet our Major Gifts Officer Heather Herrell. It was a true pleasure for her to meet so many of you in person! She was thrilled to have handed out all our Veg Starter Kits, Activist Support Cards, and other campaign materials she brought.

Miles away in New Haven, Connecticut, we sponsored Compassionfest with featured speaker Victoria Moran, who shared how to "Eat for Freedom, Health, and Joy." This vegan event was a huge success, with more attendance than ever before. Festival-goers enjoyed cruelty-free vendors, bands, speakers, and workshops on "The Benefits of Living a Vegan Lifestyle" and the ever-popular “Warm Fuzzies!”

We’re on the move! Our next stop is the Animal Rights National Conference on August 3-6. Visit our table and attend presentations by IDA President Marilyn Kroplick, MD, who will discuss our new Carnivores Anonymous 12-step vegan support program and Sustainable Activism Director Lisa Levinson, who speaks about our activist support services and new Interfaith Vegan Coalition.
