Dogs and cats used in laboratories can spend their lives confined, tested on, and denied the chance to experience a safe and loving home. Pennsylvania lawmakers have introduced the Beagle Freedom Bills to protect these animals and help ensure that dogs and cats who are no longer used in experiments have the opportunity to be adopted when it is safe and appropriate.

Please urge your Pennsylvania legislators to support the Beagle Freedom Bills and help give these dogs and cats a second chance.

The Beagle Freedom Bills would create protections for dogs and cats used in experiments by requiring facilities to offer eligible animals for adoption after testing ends. These animals are not disposable tools — many can go on to experience comfort, companionship, and a life outside a laboratory.

The legislation would also address other concerns involving animal testing facilities, including restrictions involving certain animal dealers and protections for people who report violations. By passing these bills, Pennsylvania can move toward a future where dogs and cats used in experiments are treated with compassion and given the opportunity to find homes.

Subject: Support the Beagle Freedom Bills to Protect Dogs & Cats Used in Experiments

I urge you to support the Beagle Freedom Bills and help protect dogs and cats used in experiments in Pennsylvania.

Dogs and cats subjected to experiments can spend their lives confined in laboratories, enduring stressful and invasive procedures before being discarded when they are no longer needed. These animals deserve the chance to experience safety, comfort, and a loving home when it is safe and appropriate.

The Beagle Freedom Bills would help ensure that dogs and cats who survive experiments are given the opportunity to be adopted rather than denied a future outside the laboratory. This legislation would also strengthen protections surrounding facilities and practices involving animals used in experiments.

Please support the Beagle Freedom Bills and help give dogs and cats used in experiments the chance at a new life.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Signed
