WATCH: Protestors Urge Consumers & Retailers to Reject Fur
Fur Free Friday may come around only once a year, but the cruelty of the fur industry is a daily reality for millions of animals. That’s why In Defense of Animals is committed to keeping up the fight long after the protests end.
This past November, we took to the streets in Portland and Los Angeles to send a powerful message: fur is falling out of favor, and its time is running out. Alongside fellow advocates, we called on consumers and retailers to reject fur and urged brands like Louis Vuitton to leave this outdated industry behind.
Every single day, animals suffer and die for fur coats, trim, and accessories. Whether they’re caged and killed on fur farms or caught in barbaric traps in the wild, these animals endure immense cruelty for nothing more than fleeting fashion. That’s why we must keep the pressure on—by educating consumers, advocating for bans, and demanding that designers choose compassionate alternatives.
Fur is cruel, unnecessary, and always wrong. Together, we’re building a future where no animal is killed for fashion. Learn more and take action at furkills.org.
