Foster City, California: Protest to Let the Geese Live

Foster City, California: Protest to Let the Geese Live

The Foster City Council has hired the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Wildlife Services to cruelly gas to death 323 geese because it isn’t willing to humanely deal with goose poop. We must tell the Foster City councilmembers that we don't want our tax dollars spent on putting geese and their families into mobile gas chambers.

Our message is simple, yet powerful “Let the geese live!” Stand up for innocent geese and goslings who are our wild animal neighbors. They don’t deserve to painfully suffocate to death in horror and confusion. Join our peaceful protest during the Foster City Council meeting to show councilmembers that we care about the geese who live in our neighborhood and we refuse to let them suffer!

Foster City’s new “Healthy Waters, Healthy Parks” branding initiative should include coexistence and compassion instead of heartless killing. The city can easily purchase a tow and collect machine to consistently clean up goose droppings, which can be processed, packaged, and sold as fertilizer to help fund humane goose engagement programs.
