The lives of wild horses and burros continue to be at risk! The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is seeking nominations for three positions on its National Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board. Ginger Kathrens has reapplied for the “Humane Advocacy” position, which she has held for the past three years. We must support her nomination to save wild horses and burros from wholesale slaughter!

The Advisory Board advises the BLM and the U.S. Forest Service on their practices regarding wild horses and burros on the public lands that these agencies oversee.  The Board is comprised of nine members who are supposed to represent various interests. However, it is apparent that these other members do NOT serve the 80% of Americans who want to protect wild horses and burros from being killed or sent off to slaughter in other countries.

In her last 3-year term, Ginger Kathrens was the only member of the Advisory Board to vote against the cruel and unnecessary plans of “euthanasia” and export slaughter of wild horses and burros.
