Join Our National Coalition to Stop Lethal Goose Roundups!
We're thrilled to announce our new initiative to protect geese nationwide! Geese are intelligent, family-oriented, sentient beings who often migrate long distances. They should have the right to live their lives in peace. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has a lethal wild animal killing branch, Wildlife Services, which is silently killing thousands of these majestic animals without consequence. Now, for the first time, advocates around the country will unite in their efforts to protect geese. If you want to help stop this mad killing program, please join us!
When intolerant people complain about “too many” geese in their area, local officials contact USDA’s Wildlife Services to kill unsuspecting animals in shockingly barbaric ways. These methods include gassing, throat-slitting, and relocation to hunting preserves. We've started a national coalition comprised of grassroots local groups and concerned individuals to stop these cruel and unnecessary roundups!
Our coalition will meet online every month to strategize and plan lifesaving initiatives. We plan to reach communities that have concerns about resident geese populations before the USDA initiates mass killings of innocent birds. We can offer nonlethal alternatives to roundups and killing sprees. You can help us by sharing any news of local complaints involving geese or efforts to kill or reduce goose populations by lethal means via our Support Line.
