Marin County, California: Watch Citizen Heroes Stop the Chainsaw Ranger’s Tree-Killing Rampage at July 4 Parade
You can come to watch — and even join us to help defeat — the “Chainsaw Ranger” who fells trees and destroys precious wild forest animal habitat as he runs wild this 4th of July. He’ll show off his deadly chainsaw-wielding, tree-killing “restoration treatments,” shocking thousands of parade watchers who don’t know about the terrible threat he poses to the lush, coastal forest of Tomales Bay State Park in west Marin County, California — and the thousands of innocent, vulnerable forest animals who live here.
But he’s no match for the Citizen Heroes, who will defeat him. You can even be one of them by joining In Defense of Animals’ animal protectors and forest advocates who will show thousands of onlookers celebrating July 4th that this deadly character poses a threat to California forests, but he can still be defeated.
Cal Parks is scheduled to unleash real and deadly chainsaw rangers in a monstrous deforestation project this November, assaulting over 1,000 acres of healthy, wild forest along Tomales Bay on the Point Reyes peninsula with gas-powered industrial machines and toxic herbicides too.
The public can still speak out against this joint Cal Parks-Cal Fire chainsawing and herbicides project. You can watch us march in the parade, read the flyer we’ll be handing out, or even march with us if you want to take an active role in helping forests and wild animals!
The deforestation project is being sold to the public as “thinning” and “restoration,” and most absurd of all, as “wildfire resilience” chainsawing. This is absurd because the “thinning” of forests increases wildfire danger by drying out forests and leaving them windier and less healthy, and thus more prone to wildfire ignition.
The Chainsaw Ranger’s theatrical rampage-on-parade will alert the public to the real wildfire danger that this state agency will create with its ten-year-long make-work project — and how regular citizens can be the heroes who save forest animals and their forest homes.
