Egg Board CEO Resigns Amidst Scrutiny and Scandal

 

It’s not every day we get to post unambiguously great news, but today is one of those days. Joanne Ivy, the CEO of the American Egg Board, has resigned her position in the wake of a scandal – first reported on by The Guardian – in which she intervened in the free market and attempted to destroy the company Hampton Creek for developing a healthy, vegan alternative to egg based mayonnaise.

We asked for your support with an alert we launched at the end of September that was directed to her superiors demanding this crime be rectified. It appears they have been listening! Hopefully her successor has a greater respect for the health of the American consumer and the free market. As this Slate article reports, “it seems that Just Mayo and eggless mayo proponents everywhere have cracked open a small jar of justice.”
