Highway is my name and I was rescued from the middle of a highway (and yes, that is how I got my name!). Felicia from Hope Animal Sanctuary was going to work early one morning and found me lying in the middle of the highway. I was so tired from walking that I just couldn’t go anymore. Luckily for me, she stopped.

When I would not move, she picked me up, put me in her car, and took me to straight to Hope Animal Sanctuary. I had fleas really badly and some of my hair had fallen out. One of my ears was very infected from having so many ticks burrowed deep down inside.

The kind people there gave me food, gave me a bath, got all the fleas and ticks off of me, and started me on antibiotics. I am so thrilled to now be in a home of my very own.
