Hi! My name is Luna.  I was rescued from a “free range” chicken meat farm when I was just three weeks old. When I was found, I was surrounded by dead carcasses in a big metal shed with thousands of other baby chicks who were soon to be trucked to slaughter.

The air was so thick with ammonia from the feces we were forced to live in, that it burned my lungs to breathe. But, thanks to my human dad and his friends (he helps In Defense of Animals) I was rescued and rehomed at an animal sanctuary. I can now live out the rest of my days surrounded by caring people who like to give me fresh greens and lots of love.
