Plan for Your Animals: Free Workshops

Plan for Your Animals: Free Workshops

What will happen to your animals when you’re no longer here? Being a responsible guardian means planning for every eventuality. Take charge of your estate planning now and you can make choices that are meaningful to you, not choices dictated by the state. Please join us for an eight-week series of workshops that will help you find educational and practical solutions to financial and estate planning issues including learning how to include your animals in your estate plan.

The free workshops are presented as a community service. You will learn how to understand the financial planning process and become the master of your own plan. One of the biggest fears as we get older is running out of money. This series helps you assess your personal situation and prepare for the future - for you and your animals.

The “It’s Your Estate” sessions cover all the legal documents you will need to set up an estate plan. Local estate planning attorneys are the instructors, and provide a wealth of knowledge and advice. There are 12 hours of class over an 8 week period, and you are welcome to attend all sessions, or just those which are of interest to you.

Series moderator Peter Kote has won many awards and is a funny, knowledgeable and enjoyable speaker. In Defense of Animals Vice President of Leadership Giving Nicole Otoupalik will be present at various locations throughout the series and will be pleased to meet you and advise how to plan for your furry loved ones.

Classes are offered throughout Orange County and the full schedule is available here. Please contact Nicole directly to RSVP at nicole@idausa.org
