Put Your Donor-Advised Fund to Work for Animals

Donor-Advised Fund Day may be over, but the opportunity to put your charitable dollars to work for animals is available all year long.

Donor-Advised Fund Day is a national awareness day designed to encourage people with donor-advised funds, or DAFs, to review the charitable dollars they have already set aside and recommend grants to causes they care about.

A donor-advised fund is a charitable giving account. Donors contribute money or other assets to the fund and can later recommend grants to eligible nonprofits. Unlike Donor-Advised Fund Day itself, recommending a DAF grant is not limited to one particular day.

So if the day served as a reminder to check your DAF, there is no reason to wait.

Around the world, animals are facing cruelty, exploitation, abandonment, habitat loss, and other urgent threats. A DAF grant to In Defense of Animals can help us respond where the need is greatest while sustaining the long-term advocacy needed to create lasting change.

Your support can strengthen lifesaving advocacy, emergency response, sanctuary work, campaigns to protect animals at risk, and efforts to change the systems and practices that cause animal suffering.

At In Defense of Animals, we work every day to expose cruelty, defend animals in danger, advance compassionate solutions, and build a world where animals are respected rather than exploited.

If you have charitable dollars already waiting in a donor-advised fund, you do not need another special day to use them.

Your charitable dollars are already committed to doing good. Put them to work for animals.
