Pedal Power for Pigs and Pups

Last year, animal rights activist, teacher, poet and all around great guy, Mark “Mack” Freeman pedaled his touring bike nearly 400 miles from St Louis, Missouri to In Defense of Animals’ Hope Animal Sanctuary in Grenada, Mississippi.  Mack spread awareness of the plight of animals suffering in factory farms and raised crucial funds to help us in our front line battles against animal abuse of all kinds.

This year Mack has gone above and beyond AGAIN, turning his trusty road bike north. 63 year old Mack has spent 17 brave and weary days on the road, biking an enormous 800 miles from his home in Missouri to the cold shores of Lake Superior; all while spreading a vegan message of compassion for all.

We owe a great deal to Mack, and for his efforts on our behalf we are humbled and grateful. Thank you for showing the world that there is strength in compassion, and that there is strength in kindness.

Please support Mack’s brave undertaking to end animal abuse by making a generous donation to his fundraiser to benefit In Defense of Animals today. Your contribution in honor of Mack’s heroic endeavor will help us win the fight against animal cruelty all over the world.

Thanks Mack!

* Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties, it was not possible to launch this fundraising effort during the actual (arduous) 800-mile ride for the animals. The problem is now resolved and we hope very much that you will support this special effort. It would be a shame for the animals to miss out.
