VIDEO: Why Dolphins Don't Belong in Aquariums

Like us, dolphins are intelligent, emotional and sensitive beings who use tools, possess their own language, and grieve for their dead. But, in marine parks and aquariums, they are treated like property as they are bought, loaned, rented, or sold, and put on display in order to entertain the masses. Every year on May 9, the world unites for a day of action called #EmptyTheTanks. This day is observed to raise awareness of the suffering captivity causes cetaceans. Due to COVID-19, in-person events have been canceled, but you can still speak out for captive dolphins and whales by sharing this video.

Captivity is never ethical or fair for dolphins. They deserve our respect, not to be exploited for profit.

Don’t support cruelty to dolphins - never visit an aquarium or marine park. Click here to learn more and take action.
