Side-dish tips!

● Try coconut milk instead of cream to enrich soups, purees, sweet potatoes, and pumpkin pie.

● Try sunflower oil to replace butter in vegetable sides; its light, nutty flavor blends better with traditional holiday flavors than olive oil. If you’re after a traditional buttery taste, you can also try Earth Balance Buttery Sticks which are available at most major grocery stores including Walmart, Target, and Whole Foods or Miyoko's Kitchen Butter which is delicious and palm-oil free and available either online or at Trader Joe's.

● Try silken tofu with a dash of lemon juice pureed in a food processor or blender and use it in place of sour cream, or try Tofutti's Sour Supreme available at Whole Foods, Albertsons, and many local supermarkets.
