The beginning of 2020 marks the fourth-year anniversary of our Strength in Kindness high school tour which encourages students to improve their health, save animals, and help the environment through their food choices.

Thanks to our tour ambassador, Billy Simmonds, and the generous support of our members, together we have empowered thousands of students across the U.S. and Australia.

Each Strength in Kindness presentation encourages critical thinking in relation to food marketing, investigates the environmental impacts of animal agriculture, and highlights the many health benefits of a plant-based diet.

Following each presentation, In Defense of Animals grants $300 to a farmed animal rescue sanctuary that is geographically close to the school, and encourages teachers and students to visit the sanctuary which benefited as a way to keep compassion for animals alive and growing.

The ultimate goal of our tour is to empower students to make choices that align with their values, and to take action as confident, capable citizens who have the ability to shape the future.
