A bill to end the cruel confinement of veal calves, egg-laying hens, and pigs passed with a landslide of support from Massachusetts voters last November, winning a huge victory for farmed animals. However, those who opposed it have been busy preparing their attack in the form of H.441, a new bill which has the power to undo everything we fought for.

H.441 would establish a deceptive “Livestock Care and Standards Board,” which is a board solely designed to give the illusion that the welfare of farmed animals is being seriously considered, while blocking new protections and maintaining the status quo.

Livestock board proposals have been rejected by state legislatures across the U.S. for good reason. H.441 will pay agribusiness interests even more political influence. We can’t risk this happening! Please join us on behalf of Citizens for Farm Animal Protection in opposing H.441 by calling your state senator and representative today!
