Puppy Being Abused Is Spotted Just In Time

It’s heartbreaking to consider all of the animals whose abuse goes unnoticed, but fortunately for a little puppy in Grenada, Mississippi, a police officer spotted her just in time and gave us a call. Thanks to many people who came together to help her get a second chance, she’s now a beloved member of her new family.

When a police officer was passing through a neighborhood and spotted children tossing and abusing a puppy, they stopped to check the situation out. The puppy was dropped and ran to hide beneath a vehicle, but the officer got her and called someone for help. That person then called our Justice for Animals Senior Campaigner Doll Stanley, who met with them and took the puppy in to keep her from being impounded.

Stanley cared for the puppy, who was named Emery, and fell in love with her, like all of the other precious animals she rescues. Fortunately, Emery didn’t let her past affect her; she blossomed and was soon adopted into a home where she is cherished and has a stay-at-home-mom.

We’re grateful we could help Emery, and many other animals in the Deep South through our Justice for Animals campaign and Hope Animal Sanctuary. These precious individuals live and thrive because of the support we get from caring people like you.
