Traumatized Puppy Mired In Mud Rescued

Thanks to networking between a former staff member at our Hope Animal Sanctuary and our very own Justice for Animals’ senior campaigner Doll Stanley in Mississippi, a scared puppy who was found abandoned and covered in mud is now safe and sound with a bright future ahead.

Doll received a frantic call from former Hope Animal Sanctuary staff member Elizabeth Moorman, a serious advocate for animals who’s remembered for never ending her day at the sanctuary without making certain the animals' needs were fully met.

Elizabeth spotted and then rescued a juvenile dog lying helplessly in the mud and called her still close friend Doll, who was in the process of transporting rescued dogs to meet someone who was bringing them to their new homes in Pennsylvania.

Doll made a few calls and the pup, now named Jasper, was headed to Doll’s trusted veterinary clinic for evaluation and treatment.

It will take time for Jasper to recover from his abandonment. He will stay at the clinic for two weeks to become accustomed to people. He will then be integrated with Doll’s foster dogs or possibly a friend’s.

Hope Animal Sanctuary is inundated with pleas for dogs needing rescue and haven. and works cooperatively with our Justice for Animals campaign with the vital mission of rescuing, caring for, and securing loving homes for them.
