Two 20-year-old Massachusetts men have been charged with animal cruelty for brutally killing a rabbit who belonged to the host of a party they were attending without having been invited. Demand maximum sentencing!
Imagine hosting a party and having people unknown to you come inside and attack and kill your animal companion. That's what happened in this case. According to the Westfield Police Department, Gabriel Nava and Alexey Dimoglo were taken into custody in November 2024 after a warrant was issued for their arrests following an incident that took place at a party they crashed earlier that month.

On the day before Thanksgiving, the pair are alleged to have brutally killed a rabbit who belonged to the host of the party by grabbing the rabbit by the ears and slamming the rabbit's body into the ground before throwing the helpless animal off a porch and into a parking lot.
Alexey Dimoglo of West Springfield reportedly grabbed the rabbit, Pumpernickle, by the ears and slammed them to the ground, causing visible injuries. Witnesses say that Gabriel Nava of Chicopee then picked up the injured rabbit and allegedly hurled them off the porch into a parking lot.
Surveillance footage allegedly captured one of the two men laughing and saying, "We just committed a murder." There are no words to describe the behavior of these two men.
Each was charged with cruelty to an animal and malicious killing of a domestic animal.

Subject: Men Who Maliciously Killed Pet Bunny at Thanksgiving Eve Party Must Serve Time
I am writing to you in support of the prosecution of Alexey Dimoglo and Gabriel Nava who have been charged with animal cruelty for maliciously killing a rabbit who belonged to the host of a party they crashed in Westfield in November.
The pair stand accused of brutally killing the rabbit by picking them up by the ears and slamming them to the ground, before throwing their body off the porch into a parking lot.
This depraved crime against a defenseless rabbit is inexcusable; these two must be held accountable for their actions — especially as both also currently have open charges for other unrelated incidents.
These men must serve jail time, be mandated to undergo mental health evaluations and treatment and be prohibited from engaging with animals in any form, including not residing with the animals of others.
I will be following this case, and hope you use the weight of your office to see these two prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Thank you for your consideration of this important matter.
Sincerely,
Signed
