Animal Rights: Essential for Human Happiness

Animal Rights: Essential for Human Happiness

According to ordained Buddhist monk Venerable Tashi Nyima, it is our ethical imperative to protect animals. He says, “If people want to be happy, we must safeguard the life and wellbeing of all sentient beings.” Join our conversation with animal activist, author, and monk Lama Tashi.

We are so fortunate to hear the wisdom of Lama Tashi, known for his directness, clarity of expression, and sense of humor. For more than three decades, Lama Tashi has shared the Dharma in North and South America, Europe, and Asia. He leads the Universal Compassion Buddhist Congregation, with Sanghas in Texas and Mexico. He has been an animal rights advocate for the past 51 years and offers meditation retreats on radical compassion for fellow activists.

Lama Tashi joins our next Sustainable Activism Webinar on Thursday, March 7, 5 pm – 6 pm PT (8 pm – 9 pm ET). You can join this live webinar via phone or online or listen to the replay later.
