Los Angeles: Join Us for a Vegan Thanksgiving and Fur Free Friday

We've got two great events happening on Thanksgiving weekend. We hope you can make it to one or both, and bring all your friends and family!

Rancho Park Vegan Thanksgiving Potluck (Los Angeles)

You and your friends and family are cordially invited to spend a compassionate Thanksgiving with us! Don’t miss LA’s biggest vegan potluck event of the year, with hundreds of people attending to celebrate and enjoy a delicious cruelty-free feast. We’re planning the Opening Ceremony complete with music, poetry, and a communal meal blessing. After the meal, you're welcome to hang out with new and old friends in the natural setting of Rancho Park, or you can take part in some of the events planned such as salsa dance lessons, and an Angel Walk, where fellow participants shower you with positive comments. Animal companions on leashes are welcome to join the festivities!

For each member of your party, please bring a vegan dish to share that will serve at least 8-10 people. Vegan means no meat including fish and other aquatic animals, no eggs, dairy or honey - no animal products at all. Please bring an ingredient list and your own plates, bowls, cups, and eating/serving utensils.

Fur Free Friday (Beverly Hills)

The annual Fur Free Friday protest unites a coalition of animal advocates and animal rights organizations to speak out against the cruel fur industry. Join In Defense of Animals, Last Chance for Animals, and fellow activists to speak up for the millions of fur-bearing animals who are either raised in miserable conditions or brutally trapped before being mercillously slaughtered each year in the name of fashion. Together, we will tell furriers and merchants in Beverly Hills that we won’t shop in their stores as long as they sell fur.

What:  Fur Free Friday Protest and March

When:  Friday, November 24, 11am to 1pm (gather in park beforehand)

Where:  Rodeo Dr., Beverly Hills, CA 90210

Meet at the Beverly Gardens Park, located at the northwest corner of N. Beverly Dr. and Santa Monica Blvd, in Beverly Hills. Protestors will meet in park before marching along Rodeo Drive and protesting at specific stores. Posters, handouts, and t-shirts will be provided. You’re welcome to make your own posters!

Coordinate with fellow activists on the Facebook event page.
