Mass Kaporos Vigil with Outreach

Join us, Alliance to End Chickens as Kaporos, Jewish Veg, and other activist organizations for a mass Kaporos vigil with outreach on the streets of Brooklyn. Each year, over 60,000 chickens are barbarically killed as animal sacrifices in an attempt to atone for the sins of people who audaciously purchase their lives for this barbaric annual ritual that takes place during the High Holy Holidays. Let’s stand in solidarity against the brutal suffering of chickens and advocate for a compassionate Kaporos, using coins instead of live animals. During the vigil, we will give the frightened, stressed birds water to ease their suffering.

Are you Jewish and interested in performing outreach to the Ultra Orthodox community during our Kaporos actions? If so, please register with Jewish Veg.

What: Mass Kaporos Vigil with Outreach
