Sephora: Drop Mink Lashes and Go Cruelty-Free!

Sephora: Drop Mink Lashes and Go Cruelty-Free!

VICTORY: This alert is no longer active, but here for reference. Read the great news here!.

Society’s ever-changing standards of beauty should not call for the torture and deaths of innocent animals. Sephora, one of the world’s largest cosmetics retailers, offers false eyelashes made from the fur of mink who are tortured on fur farms. With the passing of a statewide fur ban in California and the overwhelming demand for cruelty-free beauty, please urge Sephora to exclusively offer faux mink lashes!

Velour Beauty and Lilly Lashes offer mink eyelashes collections, which are sold at Sephora stores and on its website. To produce these lashes, fur is removed from the mink, who suffer in confinement on filthy fur farms and are deprived of everything wild animals need to thrive.

Sephora offers Velour Beauty’s Fluff’n Glam Collections and Minimalist Mink Lash Collections and openly states on both, “This product is cruelty-free,” on its website. Velour Lashes use mink fur sourced from China, where there are no animal welfare laws, therefore allowing the most heinous treatment of animals to occur without repercussion. The retail giant also offers Lilly Lashes’ 3D Mink and Lite Mink lash collections.

How can products made from the fur of terrified wild animals who are imprisoned on fur farms be free from cruelty?

They can’t.
