Recently, we held an end of year holiday event for supporters and staff at our headquarters in San Rafael, California. We welcomed guests from near and far to join us in celebrating a stellar year of dramatic and life-changing accomplishments for animals all over the world.

Everyone seemed excited to be there as the evening kicked off with a special advance video presentation of our Top 10 Victories and Highlights for 2018. Special guests included our founder and President Emeritus, Dr. Elliot Katz, as well as our organization’s current president and guiding light, Dr. Marilyn Kroplick. Several of our esteemed board members made the trip to be in attendance as well!

Perhaps the most unique guest of the evening was canine ambassador and dog-meat survivor Judy; a very special dog with a very special story to tell. It was a unique opportunity for In Defense of Animals staff and volunteers to talk with and engage our supporters on a close and personal level.

Delicious vegan food from savory to sweet was served and enjoyed by all as we also premiered limited run, advance copies of our Vegan Starter Guide which is now available to the public as we kick off 2019. 

We greatly appreciate those guests who made the trip and traveled long distances to be there. Your faithful support is truly an inspiration!
