Hi, I’m Serena the Beautiful. I have the deepest, shiniest black fur any dog ever had. I was abandoned at a refuse site. I don’t know what my crazy family was thinking. People don’t dump food there, just stuff they’ve torn up and debris from their yards. The county dumps broken cement, unusable asphalt, and other stuff. Yeah, I was supposed to survive here!

Well, there’s an In Defense of Animals team member who lives in the region of the “county dump” and she and her friends keep an eye on the dump for animals needing help. They cage trapped me at night and I was really scared. I thought they were going to kill me and they thought I was going to eat them. Not!

When I got out of the trap, (yeah they had to trap me ‘cause I didn’t trust them when they tried to get me to come to them), I was so happy and they were so very nice. I was fostered, heartworm treated, and am now looking for my very own family to love me forever.

Please help In Defense of Animals to keep rescuing angels like me. Oh yes, I asked them not to show the picture of me in the trap – so undignified.
