In August, a compassionate Mumbai resident, Rajubhai, and his friend, a rickshaw driver, watched from the rickshaw as a speeding vehicle knocked down their friend, Rocky, a street dog they knew well. They rushed to him and began crying loudly for help.

Upon seeing him in such intense pain and realizing the seriousness of his condition, Rajubhai and his friend put Rocky in the rickshaw and brought him straight to our IDA India Deonar Centre, where an X-ray confirmed that his front leg had sustained a severe fracture.

Doctors immediately applied a plaster cast and the staff made him as comfortable as they could at the Center. After 25 days of care, Rocky's plaster was removed and Dr. Shashikant, his assistant, and all of Rocky's friends were thrilled to see that his leg had healed and was strong and straight again.
