From South Korea to Florida, Lance Needs a Home
We rescued Lance in South Korea with our partner Jindo Love Rescue years ago, and while he had been adopted, a twist of fate has him in urgent need of a new forever home.
We saved Lance from a kill shelter, where many dogs are sadly vulnerable to becoming victims of the dog meat trade, just days before he was set to be killed. While he’d been living with his previous adopters for five years, recently someone failed to read his body language warning he was uncomfortable and went in to hug him, resulting in a bite.
It was an isolated incident, and his adopters admitted it wasn’t his fault, but they no longer wanted him and threatened him with imminent death if he wasn’t rehomed asap.

Our team quickly acted to find him a foster, and an amazing one stepped up to give this sweet boy another chance. He’s now safe with them in Florida, but he still needs a home of his own.
We believe he’s around 6 years old and overall well-rounded, smart, and eager to please. He’s happy to lounge nearby, but he’s also always up for a little adventure, whether it’s a trip to the park, a hike, or a road trip.
He’s living with other dogs right now and gets along with most dogs, but he does need to be properly introduced before being allowed to play because sometimes he’s a little picky about his friends. We think he would be happiest as an only dog.
He’s also good with kids and has lived with cats. We’re hoping to find him an experienced and active home that can dedicate time to him to ensure he has everything he needs to thrive, and we know he’ll return the love.

We’re sure he’s heartbroken right now and will need some extra support on yet another transition, but we’re not going to let the world fail him again. He can be transported anywhere in the U.S.
How to Adopt
If you’re interested in adopting Lance, you can learn more about adopting and send Jindo Love Rescue a message on Facebook to start the application process.
Even if you can’t adopt, you can still help by sharing this story and supporting our ongoing rescue efforts in South Korea by making a donation and spreading the word about our ongoing need for light volunteers to courier dogs to new homes.
