Demand Justice for Kitten Tortured to Death by Teen Girls

Two teenage girls in Wichita Falls, Texas are accused of torturing a helpless kitten to death and proudly posting the video to social media. In the sickening video, which is too graphic to watch, one girl records with her camera as the other stabs the kitten in the head with a large knife as the kitten struggles to get away from his tormentor. Later, the same girl is seem slamming a plastic bag containing the kitten to the floor, then cutting open the still moving kitten. â€‹Don't let this violent act be disregarded.

This act of horrendous cruelty and the video evidence are disturbing enough on their own without taking into account that a couple of children committed this crime. Anyone so young who is capable of such violence is obviously a danger to society and this could be a glimpse into these kids' violent and depraved futures.

Studies have repeatedly shown, and the FBI and other law enforcement agencies agree, that a person who commits cruelty to animals very often moves on to commit acts of violence against people, especially when the cruelty to animals goes unpunished. Children who commit violence are often acting out what they have experienced themselves and may be at risk of abuse. Please help us ensure that the district attorney handles this case with the seriousness it deserves by performing a thorough psychiatric evaluation on the girls and undertaking a welfare check on their home situations.
