MEDIA RELEASE: $2,500 Reward for Information on Mississippi Cat Killer in Facebook Video

JACKSON, Miss. (Sept. 12, 2022)In Defense of Animals, the international animal protection organization operating the Justice for Animals Campaign and Hope Animal Sanctuary in Carroll County, Mississippi, is pledging a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a woman with ties in Jackson and Oxford, who committed aggravated animal cruelty on her Facebook page.

A live video posted to the Facebook page of TeeDy Wms (e) shows her tormenting a crated cat. She sicced her dogs on the cat, kicking and rolling the confined cat, telling her dogs to “get ‘em,” and asking her dogs who wanted a leg or a thigh. She then opened the crate, and the panicked cat sought haven beneath the porch bench, but was mangled.

“This is a horrifying case of animal cruelty. We are seeking information on the woman who posted herself on Facebook tormenting a cat and siccing her dogs on the cat. The cat died in excruciating pain and mortal fear. This behavior cannot be tolerated in society, and whatever we think of inflicting punishment or aiding abusers with guidance, justice must be served. We’ve championed tougher laws to protect animals from cruelty and participate in their enforcement,” said Doll Stanley, In Defense of Animals’ Justice for Animals Campaign Director.

“TeeDy” has public profiles on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, where she identifies herself as “E” and introduces her dogs Emylee and Olaf.

Anyone with information on Facebook user “TeeDy Wms (e),” who maliciously tormented and caused the gruesome death of a cat, should anonymously contact In Defense of Animals’ Justice for Animals campaign office at (662) 809-4483 or doll@idausa.org.

In Defense of Animals’ Justice for Animals Campaign has saved thousands of animals, assisting through cruelty investigations, strengthening laws, and enforcing animal cruelty statutes and ordinances in the mid-south for 29 years.
