More Than a Trend: Top Celebs Launch Vegan & Cruelty-Free Beauty Brands!

True beauty is cruelty-free! Many A-Listers have recently launched beauty brands that do not test on animals and are produced without any animal-based ingredients. We’ve put together this list of recent brand launches that offer vegan and cruelty-free products for everyone!

Eilish Eau de Parfum by Billie Eilish

Singer/songwriter and vegan advocate, Billie Eilish, created her debut fragrance named Eilish Eau de Parfum which features notes of vanilla, soft spices, cocoa, and musk. When describing the fragrance, Billie, “wanted it to feel like a warm embrace. It’s a scent that I’ve been chasing for years and years and years. It’s my favorite smell in the world.” The website states “We are delighted to let you know that our fragrance is 100% vegan and we do not use animal testing at any stage during production.” 


LolaVie by Jennifer Aniston

Fans of the show Friends: you can now create your own version of “the Rachel” at home! Jennifer Aniston’s full range of vegan and cruelty-free hair care products, LolaVie, will give you the hair of your dreams, naturally! The website indicates that LolaVie products are vegan, cruelty-free, and “always formulated with naturally-derived, plant-based ingredients without using water.”


Pleasing by Harry Styles

Pleasing made its market debut with two micro-collections that included products for nails and skin, as well as accessories. The Shroom Bloom collection features groovy 60’s themed products like The Whole Dewniverse holographic nail polish and Acid Drops Lucid Overnight Serum. The Perfect Pearl collection features items like The Perfect Polish Set and Pearlescent Illuminating Serum for a gorgeous glow. When asked if Pleasing products are vegan and cruelty-free, the website states: “We certify that all of our products are not tested on animals and contain no animal-sourced ingredients.” 


JVN Hair by Jonathan Van Ness

Jonathan Van Ness, American hairdresser, actor, activist,  and Emmy-nominated TV personality, created JVN Hair. JVN uses sustainably sourced, scientifically-backed ingredients for every product in its collection, including natural, powerhouse ingredients like rice protein, aloe, quinoa, and moringa seed oil to give your hair a plant-powered boost. The FAQ page indicates that JVN Haircare is vegan, cruelty-free, silicone-free, sulfate-free, and color-safe. 


Anomaly Haircare by Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is an actress and producer who recently launched Anomaly Haircare which features clean ingredients with simple, sleek packaging. The company spends less on packaging to spend more on superior, class-leading formulas. The company brings its mission to life by using 100% plastic trash diverted from landfills and ocean-bound plastic to create its bottles and infinitely recyclable aluminum to produce its cans. Better yet, Anomaly’s website indicates that its, “nourishing formulations are 100% clean, vegan, and cruelty free.”


Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez

Singer, songstress, and entrepreneur, Selena Gomez, founded Rare Beauty in 2020 which features a full range of color cosmetics for all ages. The website indicates that Rare Beauty products are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. The brand ramps up its impact even further by donating 1% of all sales to the Rare Impact Fund, which aims to give people access to the resources they need to support their mental health. 


About-Face by Halsey

About-Face, a cosmetics brand that features a  wide range of eye, lip, face, and body products, was founded by world-renowned pop singer, Halsey, in 2021. From bold eyeshadow sticks to complete lip kits, About-Face offers products that everyone will love. The website proclaims that “We love all of Earth's creatures in every form. We do not, and will not ever test on animals. We also work to ensure all of our products are vegan :)”


florence by mills by Millie Bobby Brown

Millie Bobby Brown, well-known for her iconic role as Eleven from Stranger Things and also as the youngest-ever UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, has joined the growing list of celebrities who have created vegan and cruelty beauty brands. Her brand, florence by mills, is geared towards her younger fans and offers skincare, makeup, hair, and accessories in its signature pastel purple packaging. The website indicates that “All florence by mills products are PETA Cruelty-free and Vegan Action certified.”

There’s nothing beautiful about torturing and killing millions of animals to produce cosmetics. Please commit to buying vegan and cruelty-free products and take action for animals who suffer needlessly in labs.
