Home Alone With No Water & No Food

Becky Shaw is a long time supporter of In Defense of Animals and a foster mom for so many needy animals our Hope Animal Sanctuary takes in. Recently, when she received a call from a landlord about two puppies who were left locked in a rental house, she sprang into action.

Upon arriving, she found two puppies who were about nine weeks old. They had been left locked in the rental house with no food or water. No one knows how long they had been alone in the locked house, but they were extremely hungry and thirsty. Becky’s first order of business was to give the puppies water. When they had their fill of water, she loaded them in her car and took them to her home to fill up on food.

Becky’s grandson, Boston Shaw, pictured here with Briley the pup, helped her care for the pups for three weeks and taught them to trust people again. In a couple of weeks, these happy and healthy boys will be leaving for homes of their own with loving guardians.

In Defense of Animals is very grateful for our wonderful foster homes and our awesome supporters. Sadly we receive calls similar to the one Becky answered almost daily. Without your support we would simply not be able to save these precious animals and find them wonderful home.
