A Pregnant Cat Found Herself Suddenly Unwanted By Her Human Family
Callie was not loved enough by her irresponsible and callous humans. She was brought to our sanctuary and dumped off to become our responsibility once her uncaring guardians realized she was pregnant, a condition they could have easily prevented, but didn’t choose to address.
Every day, people can’t be bothered to or outright refuse to have their animals spayed or neutered despite low-cost spay and neuter opportunities and the outcome is rarely good for the unwanted babies and their moms.
Callie was one of the very lucky few since she was accepted at our Hope Animal Sanctuary before her kittens were born. Once her babies have been weaned, Callie will be spayed so she will never again add to the growing population of unwanted kittens and cats. When ready, she and her babies will be placed in loving homes where they will never be thrown away like garbage by indifferent humans again.
The generous donations of In Defense of Animals supporters helped us save Callie and her babies and can help us save more who find themselves in need of a safe place.
There’s more to discover about Hope Animal Sanctuary's vital role in the Deep South and we hope that you will consider making a donation to support our desperately needed work in the area.
