Our Beloved Sanctuary Is Showing Its Age!

Hope Animal Sanctuary, In Defense of Animals' shelter and refuge in Mississippi, a place where so many forgotten and abused animals have found a second chance at life and love, is in desperate need of renovations and we are calling on you to help. It’s only because of you that thousands of unwanted dogs, cats, and other animal friends have found new lives. It is only because of you that they knew any love at all for as much time as they had left.

Since 1993, you have championed this lifesaving haven in Grenada, Mississippi, for some of the world’s most cast off animal friends. From dogs and cats, puppies and kittens, to pigs, horses, and even chickens, they came to us bruised and broken.

Blinded, burned, and beaten. Suffering. Sick. Starved. Forgotten.

For nearly 25 years, with you by our side, Hope Animal Sanctuary has saved thousands.

Animals in need of food, shelter, and medical treatment are coming to us every day and we must break ground as soon as possible.
So many animals rely on this place of shelter every single day. It’s that vital.

Renovations will begin with the construction of a welcoming neighborhood of cozy, brightly colored group houses for abused and neglected dogs, many of whom have never known a day of shelter their entire lives. Warm in winter and cool in summer, each house will be nestled around a cul de sac and scenic walking path, complete with a little covered porch perfect for afternoon napping. Each will also have a soft grassy dog run, for the play they’ve been deprived of for so long. There will even be a dedicated cattery for feline friends, with lots of comfy hidey holes!

Our renovation plans are ready to go and have already been given the Seal of Approval by veterinarians at Mississippi State Veterinary College. Help us to raise the roof for homeless animals by April 30th and help rebuild the heart of Hope Animal Sanctuary.
