It’s always a tragedy when an animal companion loses their guardian, but we’re glad we were here to help provide both comfort and a home to Trigger, who outlived both of his guardians.  

Trigger is 12 years old, almost deaf, has limited eyesight, and now is at our Hope Animal Sanctuary in Mississippi. We know he must be very confused at the changes he has gone through, but he is so friendly and really enjoys getting attention from our caregivers.

We know he was much loved by both of his guardians, however, none of their family members were willing to step up and take care of Trigger. He is fortunate to be with us because if we cannot find the perfect home for him, he will live with us and be loved and cared for each and every day.

Please, make arrangements for your animal companions and don’t take for granted that someone will care for them after you are gone.
