When the human guardians in charge of a young female cat failed to have her spayed and also allowed her to come into contact with an unneutered male, the inevitable happened. Thus, like so many other cats in similar situations with negligent guardians, she became pregnant, and her human family was unable or unwilling to care for the five kittens.

Luckily, however, they felt affection for their female mama cat and wanted to keep her so our Hope Animal Sanctuary stepped up in the best possible way. Not only did we take the five kittens in to eventually place them in good homes, but we also took the mom in to be spayed before returning her to her family. 

We are hoping the babies will be able to go on a transport to the Northeast where they will be placed in loving homes despite the severe competition for good guardians compared to the amount of unwanted animals being born.
