Half of This Colorful Family is Still Waiting For Forever Homes
This colorful family of six had quite a misadventure in South Korea before our rescue partner, Jindo Love Rescue, took them in last year, but now half of them are still waiting for forever homes of their own.
Last April, Sarang was brought into a kill shelter, where she gave birth to five puppies. After she was done nursing, she was put on the list to be killed. She narrowly escaped death by getting adopted in South Korea. We don’t know how it happened, but somehow she got pregnant again, and her adopters returned her to the shelter the day after she gave birth to five more puppies.
We heard about her plight and brought them to Jindo Love Rescue’s foster center in Gimhae.
With so many dogs to keep track of, especially with so many who look the same, we use a non-toxic, food-safe dye on their heads to identify them and named them Winter (blue), Frosty (green), Snow (purple), Igloo (pink), and Chilly (yellow).
Winter, Frosty, and Snow have since been adopted, but Sarang, Igloo, and Chilly are still waiting for their forever homes.
Despite everything she’s been through, Sarang is sweet and loving, and we know whoever adopts her will be blessed to have such a wonderful dog.
She sure passed some amazing qualities on to her babies. Igloo’s sweet, calm, and gentle, not to mention adorable, and Chilly, who’s also obviously adorable, is also sweet, calm, and affectionate.
We can’t wait for them all to find the perfect homes.
If you’re interested in adopting a dog from South Korea, you can learn more about the process before contacting Jindo Love Rescue through Facebook to start the application process.
Even if you can’t adopt, you can still help by sharing the stories about our dogs and supporting our ongoing rescue efforts in South Korea by making a donation and spreading the word about our ongoing need for flight volunteers to courier dogs to new homes.
