Sweet Mom & Her Pups in South Korea All Get Their Christmas Wishes Granted
Sunny and her puppies, Skye, Cosmo, and Nova, were sick and in serious trouble at a kill shelter in South Korea, where they were set to be killed or taken into the dog meat trade, but as of this month, they’ve all been adopted and are safely in loving forever homes in the U.S. just in time for the holidays.
Thanks to your support, we were able to pull them out of the shelter with our partner Jindo Love Rescue and get them immediate veterinary care in the nick of time — the puppies had tested positive for parvovirus.
With some much-needed love and care at our foster center, they all recovered and had been waiting patiently for their forever homes.
Sunny is the sweetest and was the best mom, and Sky, Cosmo and Nova are irresistibly adorable.
Skye flew to Los Angeles in May and Cosmo followed in October. In November, Sunny flew to New York.
This month Nova arrived in Los Angeles where she met her forever family, and will be spending the holidays with them and her new Jindo brother.
We’re so excited this sweet family got a second chance and that they’ll all be able to experience new adventures as beloved members of their new families.
How You Can Help
While we’re celebrating the end of South Korea’s dog meat trade, we’re also still working to save as many as we can before the ban goes into effect.
If you’re interested in adopting one of these deserving dogs, you can learn more about adopting and send Jindo Love Rescue a message on Facebook to start the application process.
Even if you can’t adopt, you can still help by spreading their stories and supporting our ongoing rescue efforts in South Korea by making a donation and spreading the word about our ongoing need for flight volunteers to courier dogs to new homes.
