Two More Dogs Rescued in South Korea Find Perfect Forever Homes!

Even with the number of dogs we rescue in South Korea with our partner Jindo Love Rescue, it’s still exciting every time one flies to their forever home — especially when it’s a dog who’s been waiting a while — and right now we’re celebrating not one but two who just arrived in the U.S. and met their new families.

We rescued Plum, who now goes by Hash, in 2022 from a kill shelter with his sister Peach. He stayed on the sidelines and is on the shy side, sticking to smaller dogs and puppies at our foster center. While Peach found her forever home, Plum, who also survived 2022’s devastating fire, has been quietly waiting for his chance to be loved too.

We’re thrilled to have found the perfect adopters who drove more than 16 hours to meet him when he arrived in Los Angeles this week. So far he’s settling in at his new home and his new family, including a new dog sibling, adore him.

In January, we rescued Cosmo, her siblings Skye and Nova, and mom Sunny, from a kill shelter where they were set to be killed. We knew we couldn’t let that happen to this precious family, so we pulled them out and got them immediate veterinary care.

Cosmo was also on the flight to Los Angeles, where she met her new family for the first time. We know she’s going to be adored and are so happy to have found the perfect home for her.

We’re so grateful to everyone who supports this mission and makes these outcomes possible, and especially to our couriers who help give these dogs the second chances they deserve.

If you’re interested in adopting a dog from South Korea, you can learn more about adopting and send Jindo Love Rescue a message on Facebook to start the application process.

Even if you can’t adopt, you can still help by spreading the stories about our dogs and supporting our ongoing rescue efforts in South Korea by making a donation and spreading the word about our ongoing need for flight volunteers to courier dogs to new homes.
