IDA is calling on Canadian and U.S. authorities to deny a permit request to export a circus elephant from the U.S. to a Canadian zoo.

Africa’s elephants are being slaughtered at an alarming rate, poached for their tusks to meet a growing demand for ivory in Asia. Please urge CITES to reject any future proposals for trade in ivory, support improved protection for elephants, and return to the full ban on the sale of ivory.
