Hundreds of Abused Cats and Dogs Saved in the Deep South! From January 2017 to June 24, 2017 Hope Animal Sanctuary placed 367 dogs, puppies, cats and kittens in loving homes

Every day, In Defense of Animals’ Hope Animal Sanctuary is asked to take animals from abusive or neglectful homes. These include animals who are dumped and left to fend for themselves, surrendered by guardians who fail to sterilize their animals, or rescued from local pounds. They come to us with internal and external parasites, and skin conditions like mange and fungal infections. Some are emaciated, others have serious injuries and require extensive medical care. We give each and every animal the medical and emotional care they need to heal and prepare for homes where they will be treated as members of the family by their new, loving guardians. This year alone, we have saved hundreds!

From January 2017 to June 24, 2017 Hope Animal Sanctuary placed 367 dogs, puppies, cats and kittens in loving homes. This is made possible through our partnerships with Animal Rescue Front in Massachusetts and Northwest Hills Animal Rescue in Connecticut.

Many of these lucky animals already have homes when they leave us, while others are transported to partner, no kill shelters in the North East where there is a greater demand and a larger population base than in the South.

Here at Hope Animal Sanctuary we provide a safe haven for animals until they can be transported to new homes. We also provide a permanent, safe environment for animals who cannot be re-homed.

The need is great in the South and sadly there are more animals than there are resources. Your donation to In Defense of Animals allows this vital work to continue.

Pictured is Riley who came to us heartworm positive. Because of your donations, Riley was able to have the life-saving heartworm treatment he required, and now is living with a loving guardian in the North East. Here he is enjoying life on his new boat!

Hope Animal Sanctuary is in urgent need of renovation after many years of dedicated service providing care and shelter to thousands of animals in need. Please donate today to help us re-build Hope, so we can rescue thousands more abused, neglected and cast-off animals in the Deep South. We still have opportunities to help animals by paying tribute to a loved one by dedicating a bench or making a personal inscription on our tribute pathway.
