Tiny Puppy Abandoned to Freeze is Rescued Just in Time

Although our Hope Animal Sanctuary is located in the Deep South, it still gets cold there, and it was recently way too cold for a little puppy to have survived on his own after being abandoned all alone on the side of a rural road. Thankfully, a kind person intervened before it was too late, and we were able to help!

Tiny Javeline was found all by himself on the side of the road by a concerned citizen who immediately picked him up and brought him to our Hope Animal Sanctuary. He was curled up in a tight ball on the cold, wet ground when he was discovered, and we don’t believe he would have survived the night on his own.

It was colder than normal that night with temperatures down in the 30s. Javeline has short hair, leaving him with little to no protection from the cold, and he weighed only about 4 pounds. For this 5-week-old puppy, a night alone outside would have been deadly.

We’re thrilled to let you know that today he is warm and happy at Hope Animal Sanctuary, where he’s getting all the love and care he deserves. Soon he will be leaving us, headed to his forever home. While we will miss him, this is our wish for all abandoned animals.

Your support makes it possible for us to save the lives of so many vulnerable animals just, like Javeline. You can support our lifesaving work, and be a part of many more rescues just like this one, by making a donation.
