When a little stray dog showed up at a home in Mississippi, the people living there knew to call our Hope Animal Sanctuary for help. They asked if we could take her, and we said yes and made arrangements for them to bring her to us. Due to a spark of inspiration, she is now living with the most perfect family.  

The little dog was brought over and we discovered that she was covered in fleas and that the fur on the top of her head had been dyed pink. It seems she had been taken in by this new family for only a few months. She was very nervous for the first few days until she realized she was safe and loved. We named her Misty.

Meanwhile, an old friend and supporter contacted us after their rescue dog passed away. When we got the picture of their deceased dog, he looked very much like Misty. We immediately sent a picture of our Misty to the family and within 2 hours they had made the decision, Misty was the dog for them!

This family was so sure that Misty was for them that they flew in, rented a car, and drove home with the luckiest girl ever!

Thanks to your unwavering compassion and support, today Misty is living a wonderful life with a family that loves her dearly!
