When this tan and white dog arrived at In Defense of Animals India, she was in severe pain and distress. She had developed the often fatal and dreaded pyometra, a painful infection of the uterus that is a risk for any female dog or cat who has not been spayed. She was in a very bad state, and our veterinarians were up against the clock since pyometra often leads to the death if not treated rapidly.

Our expert surgeon, Dr. Ghanawat, operated on her to remove the infected uterus. Thanks to excellent postoperative care given by Dr. Vishwanath, Dr. Londhe and our Turbhe medical team, this lovely dog made a complete recovery and was soon ready to go home.
