Our partner IDA India’s rescue centers are always busy, but our fleet of ambulances is also essential to the lifesaving work we do. Last year, we put out a plea for help to replace two of them, and we’re thrilled to announce they’re up and running!

Our ambulances are vital to providing animals in need with care for minor injuries and illnesses right where they are. Their caretakers are given instructions and medications for follow-up care, and if there’s no one there, our team will check back in on them until they’ve fully recovered.

Providing aid this way can be much less stressful for animals in need, and ensures we have space to take in more serious cases, who are also transported by our ambulances.

As it goes with cars, the amount of use they get helping thousands of animals takes a toll, and they eventually need to be replaced, so we put out a call for help.

Thanks to generous donors, we were able to raise the funds to replace two in our fleet, including one for our Deonar Center in Mumbai and one for our Panvel Center in Navi Mumbai.

We started by purchasing the frames and having the rest custom-built to ensure they have everything our staff needs to provide care and to safely transport animals.

We’re excited these are already in action, helping animals in need, and grateful to everyone who supports this lifesaving work.
