In The Classroom
- Refuse to go to the zoo. Tell your teacher you want to avoid going on a field trip to the zoo. No elephant (or any wild animal) belongs in a zoo. Their bodies and spirits wither and die in tiny zoo exhibits.
- If you go to the zoo, make it only to document conditions. Note how the elephants behave. Are any of the elephants bobbing their heads, swaying, or pacing? Be sure to get a photo or video and share it with us. We could use your images on our yearly 10 Worst Zoos for Elephants list.
- Make a report about your trip to the zoo for your class. Send us a photo of yourself in your classroom, and we will share your story on our website and eNews email.
Send your photos to elephants@idausa.org.
At Home
- Share your knowledge about elephants with your family. Show them this webpage and share the links we include so they can join you in helping elephants.
