Terrified Kitten Saved From Busy Highway
We’ll never know how a tiny little kitten ended up in serious trouble on a 4-lane highway in Mississippi, but we’re forever grateful that just the right person saw her and intervened.
The kitten was clearly terrified and trying to make herself as small as possible to avoid the heavy traffic thundering past her when she was thankfully spotted by a woman named Kelsey, who is none other than the granddaughter of our Hope Animal Sanctuary’s operations manager.
Kelsey called to ask if we could take her in, and it would’ve been impossible to say no to this little kitten in need.
She was so young she needed special care, but we knew the perfect person to take her in, who is something of a cat specialist.
She’s now doing extremely well and is happy and healthy in her new home, where she was named Indie after the city of Indianola where she was found.
We’re forever grateful to everyone who takes the time to stop and do something when seeing an animal in distress and to those who keep us in a position to be able to continue to help.

Thank you for caring.
